The Hayek School of Economics

The Hayek School of Economics is a premier graduate institution dedicated to teaching and conducting academic research in the broad discipline of economics. The school proudly bears the name of a prominent Austrian Nobel Memorial Prize winning economist and philosopher, recipient of the 1991 U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom, Friedrich August Hayek. The Hayek School of Economics reflects classical conservative economic ideology for which Friedrich August Hayek was best known, including the defense of free-market capitalism against the socialist and collectivist thought. We strive to develop functional economists, not mathematicians. That is why the Hayek School of Economics‑ Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs provide a greater degree of focus on the fields of economics, political economy, finance, international economics, marketing and organizational management. In a learning environment that is equipped with the latest technology, our students master these fields and learn to think strategically from the world-renowned faculty and top practitioners of the Hayek School of Economics. The Hayek School of Economics boasts of a distinguished faculty. It is presided by George P. Stasen, Ph.D. who has served as a director and/or advisor to government units, foundations, mutual funds, investment companies, private companies and public corporations, as well as professor of economics and corporate finance. Dr. Stasen has structured and provided financing and investment guidance to major U.S. and global corporations, investment companies, developing enterprises and municipalities.
