Georgian International University Press (GIU Press) is a pioneering university press dedicated to the academic enlightenment of the students, as well as the general public, in the United States and around the globe. Georgian International University Press (GIU Press) has produced many highly regarded academic textbooks that are making impact in academic communities in the United States and around the world. The GIU Press textbooks have been highly acclaimed and are in standard use at several American and European universities and research institutions. The GIU Press Classics is a series dedicated to reeducation of the public by republishing some of the most influential books of mankind. In the most recent years the GIU Press Classics Series books have received several national and international awards, including the 2011 Plato Gold Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the 2011 Gogebashvili Gold Medal in Pedagogy and the 2011 Laissez-Faire Fraternity Medal of Freedom.

Georgian International University Press is governed by a group of five academics, appointed by the President of the university. They are known as the Emissaries of the Press. The Emissaries are headed by the Secretary, Chieke E. Ihejirika, Ph.D. Dr. Ihejirika is an internationally renowned African born American political theorist with a distinguished academic background from Temple University (Pennsylvania), the University of Waterloo (Canada) and the University of Leuven (Belgium). In the last fifteen years he has served as a graduate teaching fellow at Temple, and served as a political science professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Avila University in Kansas City.
